Tennis Holidays

Lanzarote is thought to be the most exclusive of the Spanish Islands. It has a friendly local atmosphere, wonderful climate, warm sea temperatures, fabulous beaches, restaurants and bars, an ideal location for relaxing tennis holidays. With more and more low priced flights available from many different UK airports, this is an affordable tennis holiday destination, in winter temperatures ranging from 20C to 25C.

• Can be for weekends, 3, 4, 5 days, 1 week or more - tailored to suit each group's requirements. Groups can range in size from 6 upwards.
• Budget self-contained apartments, 3, 4 & 5 star hotels are available, depending on requirements, each participant can choose.
• Bring your own club coach(es) to run the tennis course, or we can organise Spanish coaches based at the tennis school at the club.
• We can organise all aspects of the holiday, advising on flights, airport transfers, accommodation, court bookings, competitive matches etc.
• A well-planned optional social and excursion programme is available to all, Puerto Del Carmen has a wide range of bars, restaurants & night clubs.
• Our local players will be glad to offer competitive or social games against visiting players. Try out the popular Spanish game "Padel Tennis".
• School, college groups are very welcome, we have junior players here, also, ready to take you on ! We are here to help out during your stay.
• We welcome non-participants, and offer them alternative activities such as golf, water-sports etc. if required.

We use the Fariones Sports Club, and our tennis participants become members, allowing them to use the fabulous facilites - apart from the 4 tennis hard courts, the club offers a spacious swimming pool, gymnasium, 4 padel courts, a squash court, jacuzzi, bar and restaurant. All of this is just 60m from a superb sandy beach.
Improve your technique, learn new tactics and even compete as often as you like with players at a similar and higher level. Remember our team at S.E.T.T.O. will be there to meet you at the airport, and at the resort during your stay to help it all go smoothly.

Padel Tennis

This racket sport has exploded in popularity around Spain and Europe over recent years, originating from Spain, but also played for many years around South America. The best description of Padel is that it is a fast paced combination of Tennis, Squash and racquetball! With a bit of table tennis thrown in!
It really sharpens up the "normal tennis" players reaction time, movement, net-play and volleys.
It is played on a court roughly 1/3 the size of a tennis court with see-through surrounding back and side walls. The ball can be a tennis ball, however the rackets are solid "paddles" rather than strung rackets. It can be enjoyed in the fresh-air and sunshine, as the courts are outside.

FARIONES SPORTS CLUB
We use the Fariones Sports club in Puerto Del Carmen, Lanzarote for visiting players who wish to improve their technique with the coaching team, or just play matches against club competitors - junior players and senior players are very welcome and the standard of local players, young and not so young, is surprisingly high !

We offer padel playing groups and clubs the same packages as tennis e.g. range of accommodation, airport transfers, optional social programme, excursions etc.

Who are Sport events and touring team organisers?

Both Directors of Operations for S.E.T.T.O. in Lanzarote, Jack Talbot and Mike Wheeler are UK trained Physical Education teachers, whoboth studied at Greenwich University in London. Over the last 10 years they ran the PE department at the largest British School in Lanzarote. Their involvement with sports and activities around the island developed quickly, and they have set-up sports events and leagues, coached and organized male and female participants in a wide variety of sports such as football, athletics, tennis, cricket, golf, water-sports etc.

Jack, an Ironman himself, has also been involved in training and children for the Ironman event on the island, as well as assisting in the organization of the event. Find out more...
